Having spent her entire adult life at over 200 lbs., she can definitely relate to people who struggle with obesity. Although an active child and an athlete in high school, Stacey's battle with the scale was constant. At the age of 11, she weighed 142 lbs.; by her 18th birthday she was about 190 lbs. As she approached her 30th birthday, Stacey watched the scale creep up to 248 lbs. A visit to the doctor for an annual check-up was a wake-up call that she needed to make serious changes. Her subsequent attempts dieting and exercise helped her lose some weight over the years. She arrived at the BL ranch weighing in at 221 lbs.
Over the next 6 1/2 months, Stacey would trim down to a lean and strong 156 lbs.
She loves running, step aerobics, and swimming. Her interests are in helping people effectively use different varieties of interval training and nutrition to enhance their weight loss program. Also, she identifies with the emotional journey that people take during weight loss.
Stacey split her childhood years in Queens, New York and Somerset, New Jersey. She holds a BA from Montclair State University and a MA from The Ohio State University. She is certified in both Basic First Aid and Adult/Child CPR/AED. She plans on earning her personal training certification by the end of 2009.
